General Class Policies:
*Practice at home is important for mastery of the material you learn in class but is not required in beginner classes. If you would like to practice at home please plan to bring a note-pad so that you can take notes during class. *Gum chewing is not allowed in class. Please dispose of gum before class begins. *The atmosphere in class should be fun and light... please refrain from political and/or religious comments... and bad language is never permitted in the dance studio at any time. *Videotaping or photographing in class is not allowed.

Bad Weather
If there is bad weather, class cancellations may be announced on television or on the radio.
If you are unsure, feel free to call or text KayLouise at 419-280-3674.

Appropriate Dress for Class
Be comfortable! Express your personality! You may wear sweats, shorts, leggings, t-shirts, tanks, leotards… anything that will not restrict your movement. Please wear soft soled dance shoes, socks or dance bare foot. Rubber soled shoes are not recommended and street shoes are not permitted on studio dance floors. For belly dance classes, you are encouraged to tie a scarf around your hips. You may also enjoy wearing a full skirt, coin hip scarf, jewelry, harem pants, etc., all of which may highlight the femininity of the dance and add to the individuality of your experience! Our "Black Cat Boutique" has a supply of hip-scarves, veils, skirts & other belly-related products that are kept at the studio. If your class is located at a college or school location, please ask your instructor when the next "shopping day' is scheduled.

If You're Absent
If you miss a class you may make up the class by attending another scheduled class (Part 1-3 only ). If you would like to attend another class as a "make-up,' you must do so within one week of your session's end date. Make-up times are not always available so please try and attend your class at the scheduled time. If a class must be canceled due to bad weather, we will let everyone know if an additional class can be added to the session as "make-up.' However, studio space depends heavily on other classes and is not always available. There is no charge for a make-up class. Class fees are not refundable.

Taking More Than One Class
If you are registered for the month in any belly dance class (all levels), you may attend any other belly dance class at any location for only $5 per class drop-in fee. The normal drop-in fee is $15 if you are not a registered student. The $5 rate only applies to the same month you are attending classes. Pre-registration is not required for drop-ins, but it is always advisable to text or call 419.280.3674 to make sure the class is meeting :-)
